Fifty-three writers, one promise: every entry would be published. First published in 1987, Writers of Byron Shire brings together poems and short stories submitted from the heart.
This collection preserves the contributors’ original words, spelling, punctuation and even the wobbly type, capturing the character of each submission. Every entrant received a hand-bound copy, with Solveig Larson’s untitled verse taking the top prize.
A piece of Byron Shire’s literary history, held in the State Library of New South Wales.
