BIRDS SERIES. Catalogue only. Contact see: North Ocean Shores Series above) Oil paintings for sale by page number. This series was inspired by one of the richest places for birds in New South Wales near the border of Queensland, in mountain country. Here, surrounded by the best Gondwana subtropical rainforest in the world the birds are many! This Series has been with me for a relatively short period of time, 1990s.
I love how birds communicate amongst themselves especially the small ones, how they hide amongst the undergrowth thinking they can’t be seen. How they play and laugh and come and go on their migratory journeys and sing about the sights they’ve seen. We find them so close to us at times, unafraid. If I had wings, I would be one of them and not worry about being human.
Birds (avifauna) came from the dinosaurs just like us with lots of colours and soft electric fingertips intent on discovery, lighter than any scales.
