Bringing Back the Big Scrub Rainforest

E-book, 251 pages, illustrated, large font. This book was compiled in 1986, self-published 1987, re-edited 2026. The author has been involved professionally since 1986 as a Bush Regenerator. The book describes a system of eliminating aggressive weed species which are deemed a threat to the unique flora and fauna of Australia.

The Bradley Method as it became known, was coined by two sisters who observed the effects of habitat decline due to the encroachment of invasive weeds which were being improperly controlled by local authorities. They developed a system of weed control which not only brought the bush back but also the birds as it assisted in the spontaneous growth of the original dormant seed "bank". 

Joan and Eileen Bradley were naturalists who lived close to the bushland areas of Sydney Harbour. Their interest was sparked by observing the decline in numbers of a small blue bird, the Sydney Blue Wren whose habitat was rapidly disappearing.

Joan and Eileen developed their three basic Principles over many years of observation during which time they became the author's close family friends. In "Bringing Back The Big Scrub Rainforest" the author has used his knowledge of human disease and somatic studies to draw parallels between the sub-soil life and the human immune system which he claims to be inspired by a sixth sense he calls Omesis, from the Greek word "ome" which translates to, "to change form." Bush Regeneration, as the Bradleys called it, is so effective not only on small reserves but also on vast areas, that their ideas have been adopted globally as a way of restoring natural habitats. The eradication of invasive weed species is fundamental to the Bradley Method of Bush Regeneration.
