Bringing Back the Big Scrub Rainforest

Bringing Back the Big Scrub Rainforest

Bringing Back the Big Scrub Rainforest is an ebook  first published in 1986. I wrote it as I had grown up with the people, my family included, who invented or developed over many years of casual observation and hands-on experience, a system of restoring the original natural systems which co-exist in a forest environment. Two sisters Joan and Eileen Bradley were the pioneers of a system which guaranteed to bring back any dormant natural bushland environment. Joan was an industrial scientist her sister Eileen, an ecologist. These two became close family friends after my mother Edith Jean Walker and her sister Betty Maloney, independently of the Bradleys, wrote Designing Australian Bush Gardens which pioneered the Australian Bush Gardens Movement in Australia. These four people, noticeably women, were to gather other strong voices together for the preservation of Australia's unique flora and fauna.

As a Bush Regenerator I became heavily involved in the processes of quiescent observation and honed my skills after many hours working voluntarily for the above and later in the trade which was refurbished and taught in academic institutions. After some time, I began to notice an ordered combative reaction from the original dormant seed bank which I called Omesis. This is a combined response and is definable at every point along the line of Bush Regeneration being generated and co-ordinated by the rhizosphere bacteria in the soil connecting with the leaves and seeds; subject to light and shade. Now Bradley Bush Regeneration and its many nuances, has become a major imperative for restoring natural habitats throughout the world.
